What is Gong Yoga Nidra?
Gong Yoga Nidra pairs the guided practice of Yoga Nidra (also referred to as “yogic sleep”) with complimentary gong tones that support each stage of the journey. Participants will be lying down and will be progressively guided through mental imagery, body and breath awareness, and moving towards a state of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. This process often creates a feeling of deep and effective rest, relaxation, and receptivity.
The gong sound helps facilitate focus and engagement in the process. Additional therapeutic sound instruments may be used as well but the gong is the primary instrument that accompanies and supports.

Are you someone who is caring for the needs of others and feeling tapped out and stressed and not managing to find the time to truly nourish yourself? We all need restorative time to recharge our energy and allow ourselves to receive nourishment on a deep level. Let us treat you to a deeply restorative Retreat where you will feel cared for, held in a safe place, and where your needs will be listened to. Together we will explore ways to help you to let go of your usual routines in order to express your unque gifts without depleting your inner resources. We will share tools with you that you can integrate into your life in ways that can support your healing and transform your practices at home.
In the midst of what can feel like overwhelming times, how can we nourish ourselves? How can we nourish our community and our environment?
How can we honor the balance between our own needs and the needs of others? These are just a few of the questions we will be exploring with our remarkable team of facilitators and fellow participants.
The Setting
Located in the beautiful verdant setting of the Ancient Springs Retreat Center in Cornville, Az just outside of Sedona, this retreat takes full advantage of its stunning natural surroundings. With 6 acres of land, an artesian springs, ponds, and paths to wander, Ancient Springs provides the perfect backdrop for introspection and renewal.
Accommodations
This will be an intimate group with a maximum of 9 single participants, or up to11 if there are two couples. We have multiple shared bathrooms and we supply all amenities you will need for your stay.
Who is this Retreat for?
Whether you have been to Ancient Springs for another retreat and want to reconnect, or are a new friend coming for the first time, this Retreat is thoughtfully designed for individuals seeking healing, growth, and community connection. If you are in a process of healing or transformation, or simply need some time for support and restoration, we welcome you. Caregivers, providers, seekers, healers, self-discoverers- come and be nourished.
Reciprocity
By nourishing yourself you also will be supporting the well-being of others. A portion of your fee for this Retreat will benifit two non-profits, Indios Huichol and The Welcome Wellspring. Indios Huichol is a non-profit organization that was formed with the intention of serving the Tribal and non-Tribal Community, providing counseling services and educational programs and workshops, and giving back to the Huichol (Wixarika) Elders and their communities. The Welcome Wellspring is an Arizona based non-profit providing support funds and wellness services that help bridge the gap in accessibility.
