About Us

The Welcome Wellspring is here to support the legacy of wellness for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our planet.

Our Mission
In partnership with holistic health practitioners and clinics, The Welcome Wellspring is a non-profit that expands access to mental and physical care through affordable or free services, outreach, and community events

Our Vision
Our vision is a world where holistic practices are accessible to all, empowering individuals, supporting practitioners, and helping communities flourish through connection, compassion, and shared transformation.

About The Welcome Wellspring
Our work focuses on improving health and wellness opportunities by offering support funding to individuals seeking services such as mental health counseling, holistic therapies, fitness programs, and a spectrum of other services. By collaborating with local practitioners and clinics, we help bridge the gap for those who may not afford these essential services. We also emphasize community outreach and education, offering our own events and retreats that support mental and physical health.

As we heal ourselves, we support healing for those around us.  From small interactions to intimate relationships, our well-being impacts the world we inhabit.  For many, services that are vital for well-being may be financially unattainable. But health should not be a luxury.  Everyone deserves to have the support they need to experience peace, restoration, and well-being.

Our Services
We provide support funding for various holistic health services, including mental health counseling, acupuncture, fitness classes, reiki, therapeutic dance, mindfulness, sound relaxation, motherhood support, deathcare, and more. Our organization partners with local providers to ensure that recipients can access diverse and holistic health options. Additionally, we offer events and retreats that support community and mind-body health.

While most of our providers and services are based in Arizona, we have some online offerings that can be accessed elsewhere or online. Our Wellness Partners are professional, deliver high quality services that support well-being, and are excited about the mission of The Welcome Wellspring. We focus on partnerships with independently owned, small businesses that serve their local communities with heart. In this way, our collaborations support the accessibility of services as well as the amplification of small, locally owned businesses.

We are a new non-profit and our funding comes primarily through donations from individuals and foundations that support our work and partnerships with local businesses. We are actively seeking sponsorships and collaborations with health-related organizations and engage in community fundraising efforts to ensure sustainability and growth for our scholarship programs. We are tax-exempt charity under Section 501(c)(3) and are pursuing grants as well.

Why is this needed?
For nearly three decades in the holistic health field, The Welcome Wellspring’s founder, Kewal Wright, witnessed the significant gap between those who could access wellness services and those who could not. Through her work in yoga, mental health support, reiki, childbirth services, and psychedelic‑assisted therapies, it became clear that many people were seeking care, connection, and relief, yet financial barriers often restricted who could access it.

Kewal worked with various nonprofits and organizations throughout her career span that explored scholarship‑based and/or sliding scale programs for their specific services and audiences. The results were unmistakable. Individuals who received support experienced meaningful, sometimes profound shifts. Their families, workplaces, and communities also felt the benefits, showing how accessible care can strengthen entire networks of people.

As inquiries continued to come in from community members looking for affordable options, it became evident that the need extended beyond any single program or profession. The most helpful service for any individual depends on many factors, including their personal circumstances, lived experience, and stage of life.

At the same time, Kewal was surrounded by practitioners in holistic health who were deeply committed to helping others, yet often under‑compensated for their work. A support‑fund model offered a way to bridge both sides: making services accessible for those who need them while ensuring care providers are fairly supported. The Welcome Wellspring grew from this vision, as a way to weave an inclusive network of care that uplifts everyone involved.

With the creation of The Welcome Wellspring in 2025, it is now possible to connect people with support for a full spectrum of wellness services, unique to a person’s needs and circumstances. Even as a new organization, we have been able to fund and connect people to services and already see the benefits.

People want to feel better. They often just need the resources to do so.

Access to wellness services is often limited by financial barriers, which disproportionately affect low-income individuals and underserved communities. For example, individual therapy sessions and healing modalities can cost anywhere from $85 to $200 per hour, making ongoing support unaffordable for many. Even in the rare cases that health insurance will apply, high copays and deductibles can deter people from seeking necessary care.

Holistic health services play a crucial role in maintaining physical and mental health. Regular participation in activities like conscious movement and fitness can reduce stress, improve mental health, and prevent chronic illnesses. Therapy and acupuncture can address mental health issues and chronic pain, respectively, leading to a better quality of life. However, when these services are financially out of reach, individuals are left without the support they need to maintain their well-being.

Making wellness services more accessible is essential for promoting health equity and improving overall public health. By reducing financial barriers and increasing options and availability, more people can benefit from these services, leading to healthier communities, and reduced healthcare costs in the long run.  As one person experiences healing and support, there are benefits that impact their families, communities, and beyond.
